Commercial Lighting 1 | Flood Lights Make Performance More Memorable

Through ingenious lighting design including LED Strip Lights, T5 Tube Lights, and LED Spotlights. We have endowed the space with rich layers and memorable features in this project.

For the stage —— the core area of the space, we selected RGBW floodlights as the primary lighting equipment. With their delicate color switching and ample light output, these LED Flood Lights not only support the stage’s diverse expressive capabilities but also act as a light-and-shadow bridge to shorten the distance between performers and the audience, ultimately leaving a deep, unforgettable impression on the overall experience.

1. Unique Lighting Needs of a Lounge Bar: Why Are RGBW Flood Lights More Suitable Than RGB Flood Light?

For the central area, we chose 150W RGBW (3000K) floodlights with a 60° beam angle. Their key advantage is that an independent white LED bead is added on top of the three primary color (RGB) LED chips. This can directly solve the "brightness shortage" problem of traditional RGB lights. These floodlights can not only be used as stage lighting but also serve as daily lighting during the day when switched to white light mode.

Indoor Flood Lights

How Do LED Floodlights Work to Generate White Light?

When traditional RGB lights create white light, their three primary color (R, G, B) LED chips must work at high power at the same time. However, some light waves cancel each other out because their wavelengths overlap. This makes the actual brightness drop a lot.
In contrast, the white light of RGBW floodlights comes directly from separate white LED chips. There is no light loss from cancellation, so the brightness can be kept as high as possible.

RGBW Floodlights’ Advantages in Energy Efficiency and Brightness Performance

On one hand, the luminous efficiency (lumen per watt) of white LED chips is much higher than that of mixed RGB three primary colors. At the same power, the brightness of RGBW floodlights in "white light mode" can reach 1.5 to 3 times that of traditional RGB lights, which can fully meet the needs of high-brightness lighting scenarios.

On the other hand, to achieve the same brightness, RGBW floodlights consume 20% to 40% less power than traditional RGB lights, making them more energy-efficient.

Precise Light Control and Beam Angle

The precise light control ability and beam angle design of RGBW floodlights directly determine the sense of hierarchy and professionalism of the lighting effect. Among these features, the 60° beam angle design is a "golden angle" that balances "focused illumination" and "range coverage"

It not only avoids the problem of narrow illumination range and easy light spot gaps caused by narrow beam angles (such as 15°-30°) but also overcomes the defects of scattered light and fast brightness attenuation of wide beam angles (such as over 90°).

2. Professional-grade LED Flood Light: Perfect Stage Lighting Solution

Stage lighting needs to be able to create different moods. Whether it’s a warm jazz night or an energetic party, it should change with the scene to build the right atmosphere.
At the same time, high-quality stage lighting should act as an "emotional bridge". It should clearly and vividly highlight performers (singers, musicians, DJs), allowing the audience to feel the emotions of the performance through light and shadow, and thus fully engage with the show.

RGBW and Its Full-Color Capability

RGB floodlights create colors by mixing three primary colors, but this method often results in issues such as "color gaps" and "saturation deviation."

In contrast, RGBW floodlights combine three primary colors with white light, significantly improving color performance. The addition of white light softens the sharpness of the primary colors and accurately renders low-saturation colors—such as light pink, beige, and light gray—making them more true to life and avoiding an overly artificial appearance.

When paired with a high CRI (Color Rendering Index) of over 90, RGBW floodlights can vividly capture every movement and expression of performers, restoring the authentic atmosphere of the live performance.

More Diverse Light Effect Modes

It supports three modes: "Pure Color Mode" (same as RGB, including gradient, jump, and stroboscopic effects), "Pure White Mode" (white light illumination only), and "Color-White Mix Mode" (e.g., "blue light + cool white" for a tech-savvy vibe, "red light + warm white" for a cozy feel). These modes can fit various event scenarios such as quiet opening sessions, climax choruses, and DJ sets.

Adaptability to Dynamic Scenarios

RGBW floodlights can use DMX512 or APP intelligent control systems to make precise adjustments to the 60° beam angle’s illumination range, enabling dynamic changes in stage lighting atmosphere. Whether it is the stable output of static lighting or the smooth switching of dynamic effects, they can be accurately adapted to.

3. LED Floodlight’s Advantages in Durability and Maintenance Costs

In commercial lighting, equipment often runs continuously for hours or overnight, and stage lighting durability directly impacts operating costs. Our professional RGBW LED floodlights use high-purity aluminum casings for excellent heat dissipation, keeping LED chips below 50℃. This ensures minimal light decay and longer lifespan (over 50,000 hours) during extended high-brightness operation—far exceeding traditional halogen lamps (around 5,000 hours). The casings also have an IP65 waterproof/dustproof rating, resisting bar moisture and dust to prevent short circuits or damage.

For maintenance costs, the floodlights’ LED chips feature a modular design: only faulty modules need replacing (no full-lamp replacement), slashing maintenance costs and downtime. Additionally, the optimized driving power supply has overvoltage, overcurrent, and overload protection, reducing circuit fault-related maintenance and ensuring stable commercial space operation.

Conclusion: Lighting is Never Just for Illumination

In this commercial lighting project, we used professional-grade RGBW LED floodlights, plus atmosphere-setting LED strips, industrial T5 tubes and precision spotlights. This solution effectively meets bars' dual needs of "daytime daily lighting" and "nighttime stage ambience". Moreover, with precise beam angle control, delicate color rendering and flexible dynamic adjustment, it turns lighting into an "emotional bridge" between performers and audiences.

Whether for warm jazz shows or lively parties, the lighting adapts flexibly. It boosts each show's visual impact and deeply immerses every audience member. Moving forward, guided by "scene demands", we will integrate more cutting-edge lighting tech to create "practical yet memorable" solutions for more commercial spaces, aiming to let lighting unlock more commercial experience possibilities.
